[etc.] COVID-19 Booster Shot Guidance for International Residents

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) is reinforcing COVID-19 protocols and encouraging international residents to get their booster shots in light of the spread of Omicron and the rise of confirmed cases of internationals.

 
COVID-19 Booster Shot Guidance for International Residents
  • ○ Eligibility
    • – Janssen recipients: Must have passed 2 months (60 days) since primary dosage
    • – Pfizer/Moderna recipients: Must have passed 3 months (90 days) since primary dosage
  • ○ Vaccination
    • ☞ International residents with ARC: Via online booking (ncvr2.kdca.go.kr) or no-show vaccine
    • ☞ International residents without ARC (including undocumented aliens): Via visiting consigned medical institution or public health center with pre-registered temporary code
    • ☞ International residents vaccinated overseas (including those with short-stay visas of 90 days or less): Via phone booking or visiting medical institution or public health center with temporary code issued by a public health center upon registration of overseas vaccination history

    ※ Call 1339 or contact a public health center if you suspect to be symptomatic.
    ※ Unregistered aliens will not be notified to the Korea Immigration Service.

     

The SMG produced a multilingual guidance in 13 languages and distributed it to 50 international residents support facilities and 292 international resident communities to encourage international residents to get their booster shots.

International residents with an alien registration card (ARC) are eligible to get their booster shots now via online booking (ncvr2.kdca.go.kr) or no-show vaccines at any time at any local hospital.

International residents without an ARC, including undocumented aliens, can get their booster shots with their pre-registered temporary code via over-the-phone booking or calling a hospital or public health center in advance.

Moreover, Southwest Seoul Global Center, which has been assigned with handling COVID-19 protocols for international residents in areas densely populated by international residents, continues to conduct disinfection and quarantine activities to ensure thorough disease control and prevention in areas densely populated by international residents.
