Cities Transportation Engineering Yoon, Gyugeun Assistant Professor Transportation Engineering
About

Professor Gyugeun Yoon received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Seoul National University and worked as a research associate in the Transportation Systems Division of the Seoul Institute. He earned his Ph.D. in Transportation Planning and Engineering from New York University and completed postdoctoral research at North Carolina A&T State University before joining Seoul National University as an assistant professor in 2023.

His research addresses urban transportation problems such as road congestion, crowded public transit, and parking shortages. By collecting and analyzing travel data, he develops infrastructure, mobility services, and policies that better match travel demand. His work advances AI-based analytics, multimodal integration, and learning-based transportation optimization to reduce travel time and cost while improving accessibility and convenience.
